The Topic of Discussion

Our business discussion will cover the pros and cons of today’s two primary investment options: venture capital and ICOs. Romans is the author of two books about venture capital, and is now writing his third book about ICOs and blockchain. Andrew is deeply informed about both sides of this debate, and can share his tips, processes, and pitfalls.

Blockchain technology represents a new step in the evolution of human beings. It is a distributed database that helps users to fairly exchange their assets, remain fully protected by under internet law, and participate in honest deals without mediators. To deploy blockchain technology with an additional level of security while keeping costs at a minimum, it is essential to use smart contracts. Smart contracts represent a huge opportunity for everyone that is accelerating quickly.

Whether launched on Ethereum or other ICO launch platforms, as of March 2018, there exist more than 1,500 ICOs. The total valuation of all cryptocurrency has reached $320 billion today. If you had invested $100 in Bitcoin in 2011, that Bitcoin would be worth over $2.5 million today.

What Will You Learn?

After attending an event, you will:

  • Understand the advantages and disadvantages of both types of investment.
  • Know the amount of capital you’ll need to raise in order to successfully launch an ICO.
  • Understand whether capital follows the traditional rounds of seed, Series A, or beyond.
